Parish
Players Presents
The
Darkest Night
Maundy
Thursday 17th April
Parish
Players will be performing The Darkest Night in Church on Maundy Thursday at
9.30pm after the usual Maundy Thursday service.
This
original one-off performance will be based around dramatised readings of three of Dorothy
Sayers plays from The
Man Born to be King
- The Last Supper, the Trials of Jesus and the Crucifixion. They will be interspersed by a
few modern songs, poems and short periods of silence.
The performance is expected to run for approximately two hours.
The
performance will be directed by Sally Gout, with assistance from David Golder. Musical accompaniment will be provided by Roy and
Max Perryment and the whole evening will involve over 25 members of Parish Players.
We
hope you will support this new venture.
Coming
soon our June production Hobsons Choice.
Look out for more details soon!
