I
am, at this moment, preparing a catalogue for the auction of promises to
raise money for St Mary's to donate to excellent causes: the event to take
place on Saturday February 25th in the church hall .
We
have a wide range of promises, many at say the £5.00 level, in which there
is something there for everyone. Very probably you will be invited by
someone in the congregation to come along, and we hope you will be able to
do so. The basis of entry is £2.50 and for this you will receive a
catalogue - at time of payment - and a glass of wine - on arrival on the
night. Doors will be open at
6.45
p.m.
for a prompt start at 7.00, in the large hall.
In
the course of the various submissions of promises there have been four
relating to holiday accommodation: in
Shropshire
and Cornwall, France and the Andes (Ecuador).
I
know we all wish to thank the donors for what are very generous responses to
the request for offers made earlier this year.
