I
am very grateful indeed to all the many people in the Parish who took part
year's Christian Aid collection. An astonishing £2,955 was collected (not
including repayment of tax). Thank you to you all.
Astonishing? Why yes. Door to door collecting for charity is not, one would
think, a burgeoning cause. Yet here we are, collecting on a scale not far
different from what it has been over many years. The whole thing is a
splendid story of generous giving, of time and money, by very many.
