If
you celebrated your birthday in July this year, and if you also have your
name on the St Mary's birthday list, you may have received a small greetings
card with a view of the church on the front, instead of the former post
card. The stock of post cards has now almost run out, and since the cost of
investing in a further supply is considerable, the new greetings cards will
now replace them, at least for the time being. The cards come with a choice
of several different views of the church and are blank on the inside, for
your own message. It is hoped that a stock of these will shortly be
available for sale for general use at a cost of thirty pence each, which
includes an envelope.
The
cards have been designed and produced by Margaret Plastow.
If
you are new to the Parish, and are not aware of how the Birthday List works,
you are welcome to have your name added at any time. Just contact the
Parish Office and give details of your name together with the day and month
of your birthday to Liz Brereton, the Parish Administrator. She will put
your details on the list, so that it can be added to the pew sheet for the
appropriate week of the year. Mrs Ruby Dunn will then collect the
information and you will also receive one of the new greetings cards!
