As many of you may
be aware, this year marks fifty years since Parish Players began. Since
then, Parish Players have put on at least two productions each year, except
one, and has maintained strong links with the church by participating in
the reading of the Passion, Nelson’s bicentenary celebrations and many other
church occasions.
The
9.30
a.m.
service on Sunday 17th September will commemorate our
anniversary and members of Parish Players will take an active part in the
Eucharist service. Members will be altar servers, some will be lay
assistants, whilst others will form the offertory party and be sidesmen.
Parish Players will also be singing the anthem rather than St Mary’s choir
(although the choir will of course be there!).
