Welcome to St Mary's
Our ancient
Norman church, a grade 2 listed building serves a parish
of 7,000 people at the heart of the Merton Park/John
Innes conservation area.
The present day church
offers a variety of worship to God for all ages of people
- everything from monthly Choral Evensong to more modern
forms of worship. Our central act of worship,
however, is the Eucharist.
St
Mary's welcomes new people to all its activities which
range from 'Scally Wags' for the very young and their
parents and carers to whist drives and other social
events for older people. There is a comprehensive
continuing education programme as well as an active
involvement in community affairs and we have a strategy
in place for both Outreach and Mission.
We
are fortunate to have a beautiful glebe field, adjacent
to the church, which we are privileged to nurture and
protect as an important part of the environment for
the local community to enjoy.
