Why Church?

Why people go to church and what happens when they get there

People have been worshipping at St Mary’s Church for nearly 900 years.  Have you ever wondered why?

This course is for people who are interested in discovering more about Christian beliefs and worship,
and exploring faith from a contemporary Christian perspective in an open, relaxed atmosphere.

The course will cover community, forgiveness, the Bible, encountering God, and being a Christian seven days a week.
We will look at the Church’s traditions, and Christian life and worship today.

Each evening will start with a shared meal, followed by a short talk and plenty of time for discussion and questions.

There will be five sessions, at 7.30pm every Tuesday from 28 February – 27 March in St Mary’s Church Hall.

The course is free but please register by 23 February, to help us plan the evenings.

For more information, or to register, please contact Revd Kat Campion-Spall
through the parish office on office@stmarysmerton.org.uk or 020 8542 1760.
