Help us to maintain St Mary's Glebe fields
Our Glebe fields are open for the public to use. They are very popular for dog walking and for just walking through. As you wander do take note of the many splendid trees, 25 of which are protected by Tree Preservation Orders.
The church, along with local volunteers, continues to keep the fields in good running order. But some work comes at a cost, and this mainly includes tree surgery when it must be done. Other future costs will include replacing our well-used lawn mower. Also, it would be helpful to purchase a brush-cutter to deal with scrub plants which cannot be cut by the mower. These expenses cannot easily be met through church funds.
Could you consider making a donation to our Glebe Field Fund? All monies collected will go to the conservations of this green space and help to keep it open as a resource for the community.
Thank you.
You can donate by cheque: made payable to: ‘The PCC of St Mary’s Merton’(Glebe Fund on the reverse) and deliver to the Parish Office, 13 Church Path or The Vicarage, 3 Church Path.
